GN Solids Control has successfully delivered three GNTBM-360 TBM Slurry Separation Plants to an overseas client for a large-scale pipe jacking project. These units will play a crucial role in managing the slurry generated during tunneling, improving efficiency and environmental compliance.
Pipe jacking and tunnel boring operations generate large volumes of slurry that must be processed efficiently to ensure smooth excavation and minimal environmental impact. The GNTBM-360 system is designed to separate solids from the drilling fluid, allowing for the reuse of processed water and reducing the need for excessive waste disposal. This enhances both cost-effectiveness and sustainability in underground construction projects.

Each GNTBM-360 plant consists of a multi-stage separation system incorporating GN’s shale shakers, desanders, desilters, and a large coarse linear vibrating screen. The shale shakers remove larger cuttings, while the desander and desilter work in succession to extract finer solids. The large linear vibrating screen further enhances the separation process, ensuring high recovery of usable drilling fluid while discharging dry solids for easy disposal or further processing.

One of the key advantages of GN’s slurry separation system is its modular design, allowing for easy transport, setup, and integration into different tunneling projects. The equipment is built for continuous operation in demanding environments, with robust wear-resistant components that minimise maintenance downtime.

With this latest shipment, GN Solids Control continues to support global infrastructure projects by providing efficient and reliable slurry management solutions. These systems help contractors maintain high productivity levels while meeting environmental regulations and optimising resource utilisation.
The delivered equipment is now on-site, ready to be commissioned for the upcoming pipe jacking project. GN Solids Control remains committed to providing ongoing support, including equipment induction training and technical assistance, ensuring seamless operation for the client’s tunneling activities.
